Danny and I were greeted as soon as we entered and was told to seat where we liked since we were the only patrons there. We sat in the corner for privacy and were excited to take a gander at the tapas menu. I LOVE TAPAS, and Danny's never had tapas before, so we were giddy. We did immediately notice that we were both getting quite dizzy due to the dim yellow lighting. It was so bad we had to use the flashlight on our iPhones for white clear lighting while looking at our menus. Luckily, the food and service made us forget all about the silly lighting...
We started off with the Seafood Salad and Pulpo a la Gallega (Octopus Galician Style) - Octopus in Sweet and Spicy Paprika with Virgin Olive Oil and Sea Salt. HOLY DELICIOUSNESS, BATMAN!
(We attacked the octopus as soon as it reached the table, so we devoured half the plate before I remembered to take a photo.)
The paella was delicious, but nothing special. The clams and mussels were small but delicious. The shrimp was tasteless, but cooked perfectly. The rice sat in the juices from the seafood and was lovely with the toasted bread.
I probably wouldn't order the paella again, but it was good.
The serving was perfect for two people, so we ate up every bite and decided we could squeeze in some dessert.
The cappuccino was BEAUTIFUL!
They layered it like a light parfait. Danny almost didn't want to drink it!
The rice pudding was done al dente and had brown sugar sprinkled on top. It was delicious and obviously made on the premises and upon order.
The food was lovely, the service was super, there's plenty of parking... What more do you need? Even the owner came by periodically to make sure everything was okay.
PLEASE go and visit Espana for yourself and let me know what you think!
