However, other than it's wonderful portion size, I was not impressed by the the guacamole. It was hard to describe the taste, but it was in desperate need for tweaking. Danny asked the very nice lady at the counter for some limes and grabbed a handful of salt from the condiments counter, and he and I did our best to salvage what we could of the guacamole. Nevertheless, I am a HUGE FAN of avocado, and not great avocado is better than no avocado at all.
My tacos were stuffed with the basic toppings and looked lovely. The chopped vegetables on top were fresh and plentiful, the sour cream was dolloped generously and the cheese was scattered liberally and lovingly.
I wasted no time squeezing the lime wedge evenly amongst the filled soft tortillas and set my eyes on the fish taco first. The soft tortilla could barely contain all the contents of the fish taco as I brought it to my mouth for my first bite. The verdict? Just lovely. The fish was flaky and light, the topping complimented everything, and the cheese and sour cream was just enough to make this dairy lover happy. Unfortunately, my experience with the pork and steak tacos did not match my experience with the fish taco. Although tasty, the pork was dry and hard. And the steak was dry, tough and WAY TOO overdone. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the latter two.
But don't take my word for it! Visit one of their locations and judge for yourself! Let me know how your experience was!
